With summer and fall already behind us, Christmas just around the corner, and 2023 getting nearer and nearer by the day, it’s time to explore the new hair trends for next year.
Whether you prefer long hair or short – whether it be a pixie cut, braids, a bob hairstyle, or even an iconic mullet – this year’s beauty trends make styling an easy task for anyone. So don’t let your gorgeous tresses fall out from under your favorite knit hat! Level up with these looks that will stun in 2023.
If the past few years have been about embracing natural texture and fuss-free hairstyles, then 2023 will gear up to be all that but more. Ringing in a new year calls for fresh starts of all kinds – which makes it the perfect time for hair trends to lead us straight to the salon.
We’re raising the bar of easy, low-maintenance hair styling with haircuts that let you concentrate on other things while still looking good: shaggy layers, blunt edges, and classic hairstyles. We’re talking modern updates on vintage bobs, bangs, and long cuts, too. We’ve got it all waiting just for you!
If you’re looking for a new haircut, these are some popular ones you’ll see all over town this 2023.
Grazing 90s Bob:
This hairstyle will never go out of style. It’s all about razor-sharp lines and super glossy strands. It is an outlined, chin-grazing bob, and the point of the bob and then the longest following the line of the cheekbone.
Mini Blunt Bob:
Just because you have to go shorter and blunter, it doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice texture. A voluminous sheen highlights this jaw-length haircut which has the best of both worlds. Cutting a bob blunt is one of the best ways to make your fine hair look thicker. A blunt bob has minimal layers and an edgy and fierce look.
Blunt Chin Bob:
Keeping a cut free from too much layering ensures a super thick bob with tons of style. A jaw-length blunt bob is cut in one length, grazing the jawline. It’s a short versatile chop that looks stunning on either straight, wavy, or curly hair. It’s a classic statement that’s suitable for any age.
Fringed Short Curls:
Layers are what make curly hair vibrant, especially when it is cut short. With plenty of layers to create volume and a full set of bangs framing your face, you will be ready to steal admiring glances from everyone around you. Short curly hair with bangs is a short hairstyle for naturally curly hair that’s cut between ear to neck length and paired with a fringe.
Long and Layered Cut:
You thought you had seen the end of this trend from the early-mid 2000s, but it’s back! What do you say when everyone else is cutting their hair short? Why not keep it long? Hair is arranged into layers, with the top layers (those that grow nearer the crown) cut shorter than the layers beneath.
The New Triangle Cut:
Curly girls are often told to be wary of going for a triangular or pyramidal-shaped haircut. But this new trend has changed the game. It tends to have volume at the top of the afro, and voluminous curls to each side of your mane. This style usually comes with a chic set of bangs and almost creates a triangle-like shape.
Short and Wild Shag:
There isn’t anything prettier than a head of voluminous curls when it’s all styled up. Classic shags are definitely one of the coolest ways to go if you’re looking for a change. The shag haircut will suit most face shapes except for someone who has a particularly round face shape as, especially with the fringe, it would cut off half the face and make it look shorter.
One of our favorite trends lately has been bangs. Curtain-like hair looks both current and nostalgic, perfect for anybody looking for a cute new style. You can let them get a little bit longer in between trims and they will still look fabulous. However, if you want them to be absolutely perfect, then we recommend you get them trimmed every 5-6 weeks.
A pixie cut is a short hairstyle, generally short on the back and sides of the head and slightly longer on the top, with very short bangs. Pixie cuts are surprisingly versatile and, unsurprisingly, fairly low maintenance. They also encompass several different looks and have come a long way since the classic, Twiggy-style pixie of the 1960s.
Sharp Shoulder Cut:
This style could cut glass with just one look, and it makes any classic bob or lob look modern and on-trend. You should know that maintaining a blunt cut requires a bit more upkeep than a traditional layered cut. Blunt cuts need to be touched up often to keep the ends looking clean and sharp.
